The XN9251CDR 400G QSFP112 SR4 Transceiver is a high-speed multimode optical module designed for 400GbE data center connectivity. Supporting up to 100 meters over OM4/OM5 fiber, it delivers reliable short-range performance with low power consumption in a compact QSFP112 form factor.
The XN9251CDR is an advanced 400GBASE-SR4 optical transceiver engineered for next-generation data centers, enterprise networks, and high-performance computing environments. It uses 4-channel 850nm VCSEL transmitters and 4-channel PIN receivers with PAM4 modulation to achieve an aggregated data rate of 400Gb/s.
Designed in a hot-pluggable QSFP112 form factor, the module supports distances up to 60m on OM3 MMF and 100m on OM4/OM5 MMF, making it ideal for high-density rack-to-rack and switch-to-switch interconnections
The XN9251CDR supports a total bandwidth of 400Gb/s using 4 × 53.125GBd PAM4 electrical lanes. It complies with IEEE 802.3db for optical interfaces and IEEE 802.3ck for electrical interfaces.
The module features an MPO-12 APC male connector and operates over multimode fiber with a maximum reach of 100 meters on OM4/OM5 and 60 meters on OM3 fiber. It uses 850nm wavelength VCSEL technology for transmission.
Powered by a single +3.3V supply, the module consumes a maximum of 8W. It supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C and storage temperature from -40°C to +85°C. It is compliant with QSFP112 MSA, CMIS 5.0, and RoHS standards.
